Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some commonly asked question by those looking to start therapy with me.  If you don't find the answers to the questions you're looking for, please contact me to have your questions answered.

What is the Cost Per Session?

I reserve a certain number of sliding scale appointments to meet client’s economic needs. My fee for individual psychotherapy is $250.00 for 50-minute sessions. My fee for couple’s psychotherapy is $275.00 for 50 minute sessions. My fee for family therapy is $300 for 50 minute sessions.

Do You Take Insurance?

I am considered an out of network provider. If you have a PPO insurance plan I can provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance company for partial reimbursement. The rate of reimbursement is dependent upon your individual plan

Yes, I meet with clients over a HIPPA compliant video platform. I find video sessions to be an effective way to provide therapeutic support. Clients have reported that meeting online has decreased stress related to commuting and improved their abilities to make weekly appointments

Is Therapy Right for Me?

Therapy presents the opportunity for change in one's life.  Media has unfortunately misrepresented why people go to therapy.  It doesn't have to be a last resort, a desperate attempt to fix something (usually a relationship).  Therapy is a space to explore the more challenging things in a relationship or someone's life; but also to process a transition, develop a relationship with one's self, or heal from the wounds of an old relationship.  No issue is too big or too small to address.
